Tiwala Abogado is an online marketplace that connects Filipino diaspora clients with IBP-licensed Philippine lawyers for property-related legal matters. We are a technology platform, not a law firm. We do not provide legal advice.
When you use Tiwala Abogado to ask a question or book a consultation, you are engaging directly with an independent Philippine lawyer. Tiwala Abogado is not a party to that legal relationship.
Tiwala Abogado makes no representations about the accuracy, completeness, or applicability of any answer posted on the Q&A board to your specific circumstances.
Lawyers on the platform have been reviewed by Tiwala Abogado and have provided their IBP roll number during registration. Lawyers who display the "IBP Verified" badge have had their IBP membership confirmed.
While we take reasonable steps to verify credentials, Tiwala Abogado does not guarantee the accuracy of any information provided by a lawyer, and verification is not a guarantee of competence, service quality, or legal outcome.
We do not independently verify MCLE compliance, active practice status, or whether a lawyer has been suspended or disbarred. Clients are encouraged to confirm a lawyer's current standing directly with the IBP before entering into a formal legal engagement.
You may post a legal question on the public Q&A board at no charge. Questions are reviewed by Tiwala Abogado before being made public. We may decline to publish questions that are off-topic, contain personal information we consider sensitive, or are otherwise unsuitable for public display.
By posting a question, you grant Tiwala Abogado a non-exclusive right to display it publicly on the platform, including for SEO purposes. Do not include confidential information, full names of third parties, or specific identifying details in public questions.
When you book a consultation with a lawyer through the platform, you pay the total amount shown at checkout. This total includes the lawyer's consultation fee plus a platform fee (currently 15%) charged by Tiwala Abogado for use of the platform.
Example: A lawyer who charges $100 for a consultation will show a total of $115 at checkout ($100 lawyer fee + $15 platform fee).
Payment is processed securely through Stripe. Tiwala Abogado does not store your card details.
Because consultations involve the professional time of independent lawyers, the following refund policy applies:
Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of the scheduled consultation by contacting mottiharary@gmail.com.

Tiwala Abogado does not guarantee any particular legal outcome as a result of using the platform or consulting with a lawyer found here. Legal matters are complex and outcomes depend on many factors outside the platform's control. Your use of this platform does not substitute for independent legal judgment.
Tiwala Abogado's liability to you in connection with use of the platform is limited to the platform fee amount you paid in the transaction giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for the quality, accuracy, or outcome of any legal services provided by lawyers on the platform.
We are not responsible for delays, errors, or interruptions caused by third-party services (including Stripe, Supabase, or email providers).
Furthermore, Tiwala Abogado and its developer assume no responsibility for any lawyer-client relationship that may arise through this platform, nor for the outcomes thereof, including the quality, accuracy, or outcome of any legal advice or representation provided.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available at this URL. If changes are material, we will post a notice on the site.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Disputes that cannot be resolved informally may be brought before the appropriate Philippine courts. If you are a resident of the European Union, you may also have rights under applicable EU consumer protection law.
